Answers Before You Dig In
How much does a paver patio cost in New Orleans?
Most paver patios in the metro run between $15 and $30 per square foot installed, depending on the paver, the base work, and any drainage the site needs. Soft delta soil usually calls for a deeper compacted base than other parts of the country, and we price that into a written estimate before any work starts.
Why choose pavers over poured concrete here?
Our ground moves. A rigid concrete slab cracks when the soil shifts and has to be torn out whole to repair. Interlocking pavers flex with the ground, and a settled section lifts and resets in an afternoon instead of a full replacement. Pavers also let water through the joints, which matters in a place that floods.
How long does a paver patio installation take?
A typical residential patio takes three to five working days once we start: excavation and base prep, edge restraints, laying the pavers, and locking the joints. Larger projects with walls, drainage, or an outdoor kitchen take longer, and we give you a firm timeline with your estimate.
Do you handle drainage and grading?
Yes. Drainage is built into every base we install, and we also offer standalone French drains and grading. Moving water off your property is the single biggest factor in whether hardscape lasts here, so we read the grade on every site visit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Big Easy Paver Patios is a licensed and insured Louisiana contractor. We pull the permits your parish requires and put the full scope in writing before we start, so there are no surprises mid-project.
